Army Corps of Engineers will not dredge the sand off St. Lucie County
but the shoal is not "off the table"

For more info: Plan to dredge sand from shoal halted

For the meantime, we are safe, but they are still looking to find sand someplace else. Keep your eyes open. We know this sand dredging and sand beach replenishment is a temporary solution and a drain to taxpayers' pockets, while we keep the dredging companies, the corps, and coastal engineers fat and happy!

Note: We at NoRock.org or NoSmog.org are not posing as The Surfrider Foundation nor acting as their spokesman. We are merely acting as an avenue for information as a voluntary service to St. Lucie County (no affiliation/nor status/financial gain) and other communities. If you have any questions about the Surfrider Foundation- Treasure Coast Chapter, please contact tcsurfrider@yahoo.com directly.

Thank you.
